There are some moments that are so memorable that they leave an indelible impression that will never be erased. Tonight was one of them. My time with the West Middlesex Choir and Chamber Singers was one of those special moments. To be able to be with my friends and peers is something that I’ll look back on and cherish the memories.

It was a good way to end my high school career – full of laughter and a lot of antics.  Since it was the last time that I would stand on the stage with my classmates, it was slightly bittersweet. We have been together through what seemed like an eternity.  Each practice was met with a certain degree of disdain, but I didn’t know then what I know now. I’ve come to appreciate those times and their value. We never had a lot of time to begin with, nobody does and I think that’s what makes it so valuable. Would I change the way I did anything though? Not at all. In the day in and day out aspect, it sucked a lot. But now that I can look back at the years in total, I can say it really wasn’t too bad. I’m excited to see what the future holds for my classmates and me,  and this was just one of the moments to finish off something that’s been a long time coming.

To my Choir Director, Mrs. Kelli Burlett and my classmates at WM, I’m thankful to have been a part of something great. Thank you for the laughs and for allowing me to share this journey with you.

Prom Time https://josiah2019.com/the-prom-experience/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-prom-experience Fri, 03 May 2019 21:16:29 +0000 http://pixel-mafia.com/demo/wordpress-themes/liza/?p=217

Prom is a cornerstone of every high schooler’s journey. The swan song of 12 years in school. It is the final event to conclude the final academic year. A release that launches us toward our next phase of life and our future. It’s a lot of fun, mystery and circumstance to have the last blast of our high school days.

This was all that it was hyped up to be. It was lit and we had a blast. It was the perfect way to wrap things up. It was fun, beautiful and fulfilling. A mix of joy and sadness. This was it and it was the best that I could have ever hoped for. Thanks to MaKeenah for making it an awesome night.

What’s next is a mystery. Where we go from here is the true test, but we’re certainly ready for it all.

Sunrise and Sunset https://josiah2019.com/sunrise-and-sunsets/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=sunrise-and-sunsets Mon, 22 Apr 2019 21:41:31 +0000 http://pixel-mafia.com/demo/wordpress-themes/liza/?p=259 There is beauty in both the sunrise and the sunset. They represent two different vantage points: one is the beginning or the start of the day and the other is concluding the day or closing it out. Still, regardless of which view you observe, or how many times you witness it, they both possess a majestic quality that you can’t help but pause to capture a glimpse of the moment. There’s almost a spiritual resemblance and hope with each phase, because no matter how many times the sun sets, it will, with a certainty always rise again with the new day. – Psalm 30: 1-5
